Halcyon is a bird symbolising clarity, focus, patience, prosperity, and the rare gift of finding peace in turbulent times. These qualities are echoed in the term halcyon days, rooted in ancient Greek legend and immortalised by Shakespeare, which evokes a time of peace, happiness, and prosperity. It recalls the image of the kingfisher building its nest in the depths of winter — creating stillness, shelter, and growth even in the most challenging conditions.

That is why a halcyon is our emblem: we bring clarity and create space for your business to breathe and thrive — even in the fast-changing, demanding, and often hostile tax and regulatory environment.

After a combined several decades in the best international and Polish advisory firms, we founded Halcyon as two of Poland’s leading tax advisors: Paweł Mikuła (five years in a row recognised as the best or among the very best tax advisors in VAT in Poland) and Agnieszka Kisielewska (for several consecutive years recognised as Poland’s best tax advisor in excise and customs).

Now, we work under our own names — building direct, trusted relationships with clients and taking personal responsibility for the results we deliver. Our mission: to bring a new standard of excellence to the way tax and regulatory challenges are solved.
